Intersectional Fairness in AI:

DIVERSIFAIR RELEASES EDUCATIONAL KITS TO RAISE AWARENESS

We are delighted to announce the release of the three DIVERSIFAIR educational toolkits aimed at addressing intersectional bias in AI. These resources, developed through the Erasmus+ funded initiative, target Civil Society, Industry, and Policy sectors to promote fairer, more inclusive AI systems.

The toolkits are designed to meet the specific needs of each sector:

  • Civil Society: Aimed at empowering organisations to raise awareness and advocate for inclusive AI, with a focus on the social impact of AI on marginalised communities.
  • Industry: Provides businesses and AI practitioners with strategies for integrating intersectional fairness into AI, helping to identify and mitigate bias while aligning with legal and societal values.
  • Policymakers: Supports policymakers in developing regulations that address AI bias and ensure ethical governance at national and international levels.

The toolkits were created through extensive research and collaboration with AI professionals, policymakers, and civil society groups. Interviews, workshops, and focus groups shaped the resources, ensuring they meet real-world needs.

The DIVERSIFAIR team will continue to refine the toolkits based on ongoing feedback from the AI community and stakeholders. As AI technology evolves, the toolkits will be updated to remain relevant in addressing intersectional bias.

We encourage AI professionals, industry leaders, policy experts, and civil society groups to explore and use the toolkits. Download them now using the links above to help build a more inclusive and ethical AI future.
